Identify Mother Plants and Mother Plant Batches

Easily label your Plants or Plant Batches as Mothers in Canix to allow them to be used to create Plant Batch from Mother.

Toggle to Mother Plant or Mother Plant Batch

  • CA facilities can only label Plant Batches as Mothers
  • Non-CA facilities can only label Vegetative Plants as Mothers

On the Web Application:

For CA facilities: Toggle to Mother Plant Batch

  1. Navigate to Plants > Plant Batches > View: Active
  2. Check the boxes next to the individual Plant Batches to be toggled to Mother (labeled as Mother)
    • We suggest using filters to narrow your search (by Strain, Planted Date, etc)
  3. Select Actions > Toggle Mothermceclip1.png
  4. The Plant Batches you've selected are now labeled as Mother

For non-CA facilities: Toggle to Mother Plant

  1. Navigate to Plants > Plants > View: Vegetative (Tracked)
  2. Check the boxes next to the individual Vegetative Plants to be toggled to Mother (labeled as Mother)
    • We suggest using filters to narrow your search (by Strain, Plant Batch, etc)
  3. Select Actions > Toggle to Mothermceclip0.png
  4. The Plants you've selected are now labeled as Mother

View Mother Plants or Mother Plant Batches

On the Web Application:

For CA facilities: Mother Plant Batches

  • View all Mother Plant Batches in once place: Plants > Plant Batches > Active Mother Plant Batches
  • View Mother Plant Batches along with regular Plant Batches: Plants > Plant Batches > View: Active > scroll to the right to find the "Is Mother?" column; all Mother Plant Batches will now have a green checkmark in this column

For non-CA facilities: Mother Plants

  • View all Mother Plants in once place: Plants > Plants > View: Mother Plants (Tracked)
  • View Mother Plants along with regular Plants: Plants > Plants > View: Vegetative (Tracked) > scroll to the right to find the "Mother Plant?" column; all Mother Plants will now have a green checkmark in this column

Revert Mother Plant or Mother Plant Batch Label

The process is the same, but the exact steps may vary slightly depending on your location.

  • To remove the Mother label from a Mother Plant or Mother Plant Batch, simply reverse the steps for labeling as Mother:
    • Navigate to it by following the steps above in View Mother Plants > check the box next to the Mother Plant or Mother Plant Batch > select Actions > Toggle Mother or Toggle to Mother to remove the tag

Metrc Synchronization for Mother Plants

Customers (in the list of states below) with Metrc Facilities/Licenses that are part of their Canix Metrc-Integrated Account. As an example, when users apply the Toggle [plant(s)] to Mother Action, Canix will change the growth phase of these plants from Vegetative to Mother. Any plant(s) with a Mother growth phase will be marked as a Mother :white_check_mark:  in Canix by our Metrc syncs.
