Customize stages throughout cultivation, outside of state compliance growth phases. Create Custom Growth Phases to track various benchmarks during the cultivation process. Custom Growth Phases can be assigned to plants or plant batches from the Actions button in reporting, or when changing compliance growth phases. The following steps walk through adding and managing custom growth phases to active plant inventory.
Creating Custom Growth Phases
From the Web Application:
- Navigate to Admin > Facility Data > Custom Growth Phases
- Select Actions > Create Custom Growth Phases
To create your first Custom Growth Phase, you will need to start with the initial associated plant type of immature. - Fill in all fields in the side panel to create a new phase: Custom Growth Phase Name, Previous Custom Growth Phase (if not the first phase being created), and the Associated Growth Phase for which phase to find this custom stage in
- Select Save to create the new phase
Reorder Custom Growth Phases
Custom Growth Phases can be created and rearranged to automatically suggest the next phase in the correct order when managing plant inventory. Follow the steps below to manage existing phases in your facility.
From the Web Application:
- Navigate to Admin > Facility Data > Custom Growth Phases
- Select Actions > Reorder Custom Growth Phases
- A window will appear where you can rearrange the order of the Custom Growth Phases by Associated Growth Phase. Simply use the arrows to reorder them.
- If the associated compliance phase needs to be changed on a Custom Growth Phase, select the Custom Growth Phase name in the table and select a new plant type from the side panel.
- Select Save to save the changes made
Updating Custom Growth Phase
From the Web Application:
- Navigate to Plants > Plants or Plant Batches
- Select Actions > Change Custom Growth Phase
- A window will appear where you can Select the New Custom Growth Phase and the Phase Change Date.
- Select Change Phase
- These changes will now reflect in the column Custom Growth Phase
Typical Use Cases
Think of Custom Growth Phases as sub-phases for your immature, vegetative (except CA) and flowering phases. They can be used to create new sub-growth phases to track major benchmarks within the cultivation process. Outlined below are some common use cases for Custom Growth Phases. Keep in mind, at the end of the day these are customizable and can be used however you see fit.
- Example during Immature Phase:
- Track when moved from Clone Dome to 1 gallon pot
- Track when moved from 1 gallon to 5 gallon pot
- Track when moved into Vegetative (For CA Customers)
- Track going from 3 nodes to 6 nodes
- Examples during Flowering Phase:
- Plants start to purple
- Plants start to produce trichomes
- First topping or Manicure
