Quickly create one or more Packages from a single Harvest in Canix in one step. In the Create Package from Harvest page’s New Package Settings, you can apply all settings to all Packages created, or select a Package to individually edit each one.

Create Multiple Packages from a Harvest
On the Web Application:
- Navigate to Harvests > Overview > Active
- Use the filters to narrow down your search (by Harvest Name, Strain, Location, etc.)
- Once filtered, select the Source Harvest to create Package(s) from
- Select Actions > Create Packages
- Bulk Create & Edit Packages under the New Package Settings section.
WARNING: You should generate the # of packages expected first. Any edits made on individual packages on the right will be overwritten if you change fields in New Package Settings. For example, creating 4 packages on the right and making changes to the packages individually, then updating the # of packages to 5 will overwrite all edits you previously did.- Starting Package Tag - Edit the last few numbers of the tag or scan the tag being used if different than the tag populated by default. The last package tag used in the facility will be counted up from by 1 tag number and displayed here. To populate the lowest tag if there is a gap in tags used previously, select the subtext below this field to populate with the tag number.

Number of Packages - Enter the number of packages to generate on the right. Packages can be edited in bulk using the New Package Settings, or edited individually by selecting the package on the right
REMINDER: Editing the # of Packages will overwrite edits already made on individual packages. Select Add Package to add another package without affecting already generated packages. - Item - Apply an item in bulk to the new packages. If a package has a different item than the others, select the individual package on the right to update that package item individually.
- Packaged Date - Select the date the inventory was packaged (generally today's date)
- Expiration Date - If applicable, select an expiration date (optional)
- Location - Select the new package location. If packages are in different locations, select individual packages on the right to edit the locaiton
- Distribute Harvest Weight Equally - when selected, Canix will automatically evenly distribute the remaining harvest wet weight into the # of packages generated. It’s recommended to use this option only after harvest waste has been entered, or does not need to be entered. Remaining Wet Weight in a harvest after it is finished represents the moisture loss of the harvest.

Per Package Quantity - Set the quantity to apply to each package generated on the right.
REMINDER: Editing or setting a per package weight or the units will overwrite edits to package weights already made on individual packages. - Production Batch - If applicable, enter the production batch value for the new packages. This has effects on the package lineage and test results (optional)
- Internal Lot ID - set an Internal Lot ID as a free-form field to track packages created from the harvest or batch of plants in reporting as a collection of inventory. This field is in Canix only and does not submit to the compliance system.
- Distribute current harvest COGS equally - It’s recommended to use this option only after harvest waste has been entered, or does not need to be entered. (Note: Total Current COGS will be listed under the Harvest details section.)
- REMINDER: Editing the # of Packages will overwrite edits already made on individual packages. Select Add Package to add another package without affecting already generated packages.
- Alternatively, you can manually add packages by clicking Add Package. Manually edit each package under the New Packages section by selecting the Package tag number or the edit button. Make necessary edits in the side panel and click Add to save changes or create new packages.
- After confirming all package details are correct, select Submit to create multiple packages.
View Packages
On the Web Application:
- Navigate to Inventory > Packages > Select View: Active
Track Submissions
Track Create Package from Harvest from your Submissions page in the Canix Web Application.
Metrc Facilities
- Navigate to Admin > Metrc Submissions > All to review or check the status of your submissions to Metrc. If the submission status is Failed, click on the submission name to see the Metrc error message.
Non-Metrc Facilities
- Navigate to Admin > User Submissions > All
