BioTrack does not track growth phases in Florida so all individually tagged plants are vegetative or flowering plants. Immature plants are tracked as packages of immature plant packages (called Inventory in BioTrack) until then.
Follow these steps to create mature plants from packages of immature plants.
- Navigate to Inventory > Packages > Active view
- Filter the item type column for Immature Plants
- Select the package to be unpacked to plants (only 1 package at a time currently)
- Select Actions > Unpack into Plants
- Fill in the following fields in the modal that appears
- # Plants - Enter the number of plants being created from this package
Note - this quantity cannot exceed the package quantity - Plant Location - Select from plant location types to specify the new plant location
- Planted Date - Change the planted date if different than today's date
- Strain - this is prefilled from the package's item strain, but can be changed by searching strains in your facility.
- Mark as Mother Plants - select this option to mark all new plants created in this action as mother plants. This is currently the only place to mark plants as a mother until a separate action is supported from the plants table.
Note - if only marking a few plants as mother plants, and the other plants will not be mother plants, split up the action to create only the # plants that will be mother plants > Submit this action > redo steps 1-5 for the other plants that will not be marked as mother plants.
- # Plants - Enter the number of plants being created from this package
- Select Submit when all required fields are entered
