Overview
After completing the Harvest/Cure process, Producers will have various Harvested or Cured Inventory Items that need to be converted into a Lot Stage Inventory type. This guide outlines how to successfully create a Lot from an existing package.
When to Use the "Create Lot" Feature
Use the Create Lot feature when you need to create a lot from inventory items, such as Flower, Wet Flower, or Other Material. This functionality allows you to create new lots from these packages while maintaining accurate tracking and inventory management.
Steps to Create a Lot
1. Select the Source Package
From the Packages table, follow these steps:
- Select a package of Flower, Wet Flower, or Other Material.
- Choose the Split Package option.
Upon selecting Split Package:
- The system will open the current Split Package URL.
- The selected package will automatically be filled in as the Source Package.
Shown in the UI:
- InventoryID: The selected package is shown as the Source Package, but this can be updated if necessary.
- Amount Used: A new field displays the amount of the source package being used. This replaces the previous “Remaining Quantity After Split” field.
- Source Weight: The static weight of the source package being used.
- Source Details Dropdown:
- Available Quantity
- Packaged Date (prefilled with today’s date)
- Location
The selected package's Item card is prefilled with the source package details.
2. Update the Item (Derivative Selection)
To update the item information for the new lot:
-
Open the Update Item Modal.
If the source item is Flower, Wet Flower, or Other Material, only the following options are available in the Item Select:
- Flower Lot
- Other Material Lot
- Kief Lot
Note: Intermediary or Finished Goods (end products) will not be displayed here.
3. Packaged Weight & Units of Measure (UOM)
Shown in the UI:
- Packaged Weight (REQUIRED): Enter the weight to be packaged. This will automatically impact the source package's remaining amount.
- Units of Measure (UOM) (REQUIRED): The UOM list will be pulled from the inventory type of the selected item.
4. Location
