Reporting Features
For an overview of all new reporting features, including how to explore data, drill down, and schedule reports, watch the video below:
Underlying Data
To view the underlying data that makes up a visualization, click the "..." menu at the top right of the chart:
This will open the row level data for the visualization. Use the "Edit Columns" feature to add additional details. Download the new table using the Download CSV button in the bottom left of the pop up. Note - These updates will not be saved on the dashboard - you must create a new custom report for that.
Underlying data can also be accessed from a specific part of the visualization, by right-clicking, for example if you want to see the underlying sales data for a specific month:
Drill Down
To cut a specific section of data by another dimension, right click on a chart and select "Drill Down".
For example, right click on total sales for a specific month and then choose "Item Type" to see the sales for those Item Types within the month:
Explore Data
Explore mode allows you to explore and cut the data in a specific visualization by different dimensions.
To start explore mode, hover over a visualization and select "Explore":
From the Explore window, use the settings on the right-hand side to cut the data:
Filter: change the dataset that you're exploring by filtering out data.
Add: add secondary measures, for example add quantity to a chart showing total sales. Or secondary dimensions, for example Customer, Item Name or Item Type.
Replace: swap out the existing metrics or dimensions for different data.
Compare: compare different cuts of the data across the same measure. For example Total Sales for CountBased vs WeightBased Items.
Save Views
If you find yourself constantly applying the same filters to a report, use the "Save View" feature to save the set of filters.
Saved views can be used when the filters are at the top of the report, but does not save any filters or temporary changes to the tables.

Schedule Emails
Use scheduling for end of month reporting, partner reports, or any time you need point-in-time data, or to share data with users outside of Canix.
Scheduled reports will send the report as is by default with all default filters set. To schedule a report filtered for specific brands, customers, or inventory for example, create a Saved View, and schedule the report when viewing the saved view.
To schedule a report to be delivered to your email (or the inbox of your partners or co-workers), select the "..." menu at the top right of the report.
The following options are available for scheduled reports:
- Emails: these do not have to be emails for users in Canix. To send a report to an external email address, simply add it to the emails list.
- Cadence: customize the days and times that the data should be delivered.
- Format: choose to deliver a PDF, CSV or XLSX file.
- Views: if you've saved views for the report, you'll be able to select a specific view to be delivered.
KPI Change Analysis
Use change analysis to understand why a specific KPI is changing.
To run a change analysis, find a KPI visual and select the % change:
In this example, you'll see how Price Per Pound by Month has changed by various dimensions, such as Customer, Item Name and Item Type. To select difference dimensions to analyze, select "Customize Attributes" in the bottom left:
KPI Alerts
To set up email alerts for changes to specific metrics, use the alert functionality on KPI alerts.
Alerts can be scheduled to be sent when specific threshold or passed, or when measures change by a specific %:

Frequently Asked Questions
Why don't some of my Splits / Combines show values for Source Quantity and Source Units?
When Packages are Split / Combined in Metrc, these values cannot always be recorded in Canix. Metrc only shares with Canix which Source Package Tag an Output Package Tag came from, but not the specific units pulled from the Source Package. Packages Split or Combined in Metrc also will not show values for costs that moved from the Source to Output Package.
