In 2024, Canix has transitioned to a new reporting platform called ThoughtSpot.
ThoughtSpot is an innovative AI-powered analytics platform that enables you to view and analyze your data through a search-based user interface. You can create your searches quickly and easily by typing them into a search bar, like you do when using an Internet search engine. ThoughtSpot makes it easy to see your data, get your questions answered, create interactive graphs, and customize dashboards. You don’t need to understand how ThoughtSpot stores information, attend days of training, or know SQL to do these things.

What service options are available for Canix customers?
Service options will be divided into two main categories: default reporting and custom reporting.
Default Reporting
All customers will have access to embedded default reports as a standard part of their Canix service contract, similar to the existing Looker Reports.
Default reporting features include:
- Standard Canix-generated reports
- All existing Looker reports will be created in ThoughtSpot, plus new reports based on customer feedback. Some tables may be combined or have updated formatting to reduce duplications and join key data for improved reporting.
- Standard Canix-generated dashboards
- More granular options for scheduling and sharing reports, including
- Trigger-based automations (send reports when data reaches a specified threshold)
- Access to underlying data
- Presentation mode, which allows for active drilldowns
- Improved download caps (1 million rows)
- More granular permissions
- Faster loading speeds
- Temporary drill-downs, filters, and alternative visualization options

Custom Reporting
Custom reporting will be available as an add-on service for all interested customers. Read more about Custom Reporting and how to gain access here.

- Combining variables across existing data tables for expanded analyses
- Use of formulas to create your own calculations and insights
