Create Outgoing Transfers

Outgoing Transfers can be created quickly and easily in Canix as needed. For Metrc customers, after submitting your Outgoing Transfer in Canix, there will be one more quick and easy step to take in Metrc after submission to complete the compliance process: Register Outgoing Transfer in Metrc.

  • 💡 Alternatively, Creating a Transfer from a Sales Order allows you to create Outgoing Transfers much more quickly and easily by prefilling the transfer information and auto-adding the packages from the Sales Order. This allows less opportunity for error and ensures higher accuracy, as well as allowing you the option to have package prices populate automatically on transfers (instructions included in the link above).

Create Outgoing Transfer

On the Web Application

  1. Navigate to Sales > Outgoing Transfers
  2. Select + Create TransferOutgoing_Transfers_-_Canix_2023-05-25_at_2.50.47_PM.jpg
  3. Complete all required fields:
    • Name: We suggest using Facility/Customer Name - Date, such as "Smoke Shop - 5/25/23"
    • Destination Facility: Begin typing the facility name or last few numbers of the license number that will be receiving the transfer
      • NOTE: The Destination Facility cannot be updated after the transfer has been created. Ensure you are selecting the correct Destination Facility.
    • Transfer Type: Usually "Transfer"
    • Transport Facility: Begin typing the facility name or last few numbers of the license number
    • Departure Time: Time expected to leave your facility
    • Arrival Time: Will update automatically based on Departure Time, or you can adjust manually
    • Driver: Begin typing to select an existing Driver from the drop down, or add a new one
    • 2nd Driver (optional)
    • Vehicle: Begin typing to select an existing Vehicle from the drop down, or add a new one
    • Note: If you're transferring between internal licenses, you can enter the vehicle as "On Prem"
    • Route: Route will be automatically generated between your facility and the Destination Facility; click the map icon to optionally make changesCreate_Transfer_-_Canix_2023-05-25_at_1.40.51_PM.jpg
  4. If you wish to add additional packages, select + Add Packages
  5. Optionally, package prices can be entered manually
    • Note: To have package prices populate automatically, you can instead Create Transfer from Sales Order after using the steps at bottom of the linked bottom to enable the Save Transfer Price from Sales Order setting in Edit Profile.
  6. Verify everything looks correct
  7. Select Create

🚨 Metrc customers: after submitting, navigate to your Metrc account and Register an Outgoing Transfer in Metrc (Submit Draft Transfer Template) to complete the compliance process
