Outgoing Transfers have now been updated to include the capability to create transfers to multiple destinations with layovers and intermediary stops. Multi-Destination Transfers will create 1 transfer manifest in Metrc with multiple destinations listed, and the packages assigned to each destination. Metrc requires the users to specify any stops they’ll make along the way for sleeping overnight or other planned pitstops, and the amount of time they’ll be at the intermediary stop.

Destination Based Transfer Manifest
A Destination Based Transfer Manifest, also known as a Multi-Destination Transfer can include single or multiple destinations and requires packages to be assigned to each destination.
From the Web Application:
- Navigate to Sales > Outgoing Transfers
- Select +Create Transfer
- Select the type of Transfer being created, in this case check Destination-Based Manifest.
Complete Transfer Details: Name, Transfer Type, Transport Facility, Driver, Vehicle, Route and Estimated Departure Time are all required fields. Optionally you can add a Second Driver.
Note: Route will automatically be created once one or more destinations have been added. - Select +Add Destination
- Destination Facility - Using the Destination Facility box, begin typing to search for the Destination Facility. Note: This option can only be added to destination based manifests.
- Layover - Add a Layover by entering estimated check in and check out times.
Adding more than one Destination? Simply check the box, Add Another and then select Add. Continue this process until all Destinations and Layovers have been added. Then, uncheck the box Add Another and select Add Inventory to start adding packages to each Destination.
- Add Inventory by searching by Package Tag, Item Name or Item Type in the search box at the top of the side panel. Add Packages by selecting the plus sign (+) next to each package. Easily review and edit which packages have been added to each destination by reviewing the Packages In Destination tab. Select the red X to remove any packages. Select Save after any changes have been made.
- Once you have added all Destinations, Layovers and Inventory for each you can Edit the Route if needed by selecting Edit Route at the top. This will allow users to edit the order of the route by using the arrows to reorder the destinations. Users can also estimate the time spent at each location, if no time is manually entered it will default to .5 hours. After you have made any changes select Refresh.
- After reviewing the Transfer for accuracy, select Create
Circular Transfer Manifest
A Circular Transfer Manifest can include multiple intermediary destinations, but does not require packages to be assigned to each destination. Packages that can be added as a transfer to your own facility, and individual manifests will need to be created for each destination if and when packages are transferred.
From the Web Application:
- Navigate to Sales > Outgoing Transfers
- Select +Create Transfer
- Select the type of Transfer being created, in this case check Circular Manifest.
Complete Transfer Details: Name, Transfer Type, Transport Facility, Driver, Vehicle, Route and Estimated Departure Time are all required fields. Optionally you can add a Second Driver.
Note: Route will automatically be created once one or more destinations have been added. - Add Inventory to the Circular Manifest by selecting +Add Packages. Add Inventory by searching by Package Tag, Item Name or Item Type in the search box at the top of the side panel. Add Packages by selecting the plus sign (+) next to each package. Easily review and edit which packages have been added to each destination by reviewing the Packages In Destination tab. Select the red X to remove any packages. Select Save after any changes have been made.
- Add Intermediary Stops by selecting +Add Destinations.
- Intermediary Stop - Using the Destination Facility box, begin typing to search for the Destination Facility. Note: This option can only be added to Circular Manifests.
- Layover - Add a Layover by entering estimated check in and check out times.
