This article outlines how to upload Plant or Plant Batch Waste (without destruction) into Metrc. After creating Plant or Plant Batch Waste in Canix, the submitting user is emailed a CSV file that must be uploaded to Metrc to complete the process. Metrc requires Plant and Plant Batch Waste to be recorded through this process, but Canix makes it easier by recording waste in bulk.
Note: Only Plant or Plant Batch Waste alone without destroying Plants must be submitted by CSV - the rest is submitted via the API.
- For clarification on the waste and destruction process:
- Harvest Waste - Canix submits through the Metrc API
- Plant Waste + Destroy - Canix submits through the Metrc API
- Plant Destruction - Canix submits through the Metrc API
- Plant Waste alone without Plant destruction - Canix emails you a CSV that you must upload to Metrc directly; this is not submitted via the API due to Metrc limitations
