How to Apply Line Item Discounts in Canix
In this article, we'll guide you through the steps to apply discounts to individual line items within an order in Canix. You can add discounts as either a percentage or a dollar value, making it easy to adjust prices according to your needs.
Step 1: Locate the “Add Discount” Button
To start, find the line item you wish to discount within your order. Directly beneath this line item, you'll see an “Add Discount” button.
Clicking this button will open the “Add Discount” modal, where you can enter the discount details.
Step 2: Enter the Discount Details
Once the “Add Discount” modal appears, you have the option to enter the discount as either a percentage or a dollar value.
- Percentage Discount: Enter the percentage by which you want to reduce the line item’s price.
- Dollar Value Discount: Enter the specific amount you wish to subtract from the line item's total.
Step 3: Review and Confirm the Discount
After entering the discount, it will be displayed next to the line item. The discount value is shown but cannot be modified directly from the order view; it remains disabled.
Step 4: Add a Discount Reason (Optional)
You can also include a reason for the discount. This reason is editable and provides clarity on why the discount was applied.
Step 5: Review the Subtotal
Once a discount is applied, the Subtotal for the order will automatically update. The Subtotal value becomes clickable, allowing you to open a detailed Subtotal modal for further review.
Updating the Order Discount
If you need to apply a discount to the entire order, the “Discount” field is updated to “Order Discount” within the Subtotal modal. This feature allows you to manage and review discounts comprehensively across the order.
By following these steps, you can easily apply and manage discounts on individual line items in Canix, helping you maintain accurate and flexible pricing in your orders.
