What is Legal For Trade mode?
Legal for Trade mode or LFT Mode refers the state of the scale being sealed and certified. This can be checked on the bottom of the Ohaus Ranger 3000 by viewing the red toggle on the front underside of the scale. If the toggle is pushed toward the lock symbol and is sealed your scale is in LFT mode.
My scale won't send weights to the Canix mobile app
Please verify your scale is connected to your device and auto-print has been configured on your scale. If your scale is not configured please follow the steps above to do so. If you are able to connect to the Bluetooth adapter, and the scale is configured to auto-print, check that the adapter cable is securely connected to the scale.
My scale won't allow me to configure Auto-Print
Check if your scale is in LFT mode based on the red toggle on the front underside of the Ohaus Ranger 3000. If the scale is locked in LFT mode please use the directions above to configure Auto-Print in LFT mode or unseal your scale and switch the red toggle back to the unlocked position and configure auto-print.
How to configure your scale to Auto-Print in LFT Mode
This option is a go to for scales that have been sealed and certified before they have been configured. If the scale's Legal for Trade (LFT) mode is active before the scale has been configured you can follow the instructions below to achieve Auto-Print.
Note: In this method of configuration you need to consider that the weight of a plant must be stable. It won't send a weight value until the plant is completely stable, so you will need to factor the extra time to stabilize.
Set the scale to print on stable (suggested - see pages 20-21 of the Ohaus manual)
- Turn the scale on
- Reset the Print Menu
- Hold Menu Button
- Press Print 4 times to reach PRINT
- Click Yes once to reach RESET
- Click Yes once more
- Press No once to switch to YES
- Click Yes once
- In the Print menu, set Stable Only to On
- Hold Menu Button
- Press Print 4 times to reach PRINT
- Click Yes once
- Click No one to reach STABLE
- Click Yes once to reach ON
- Click Yes once more to verify
- In the Auto-Print menu, set On.Stab. to Load
- From Aprint Menu
- Click Yes once
- Then press No once to reach ON.STAB
- Click Yes twice to set LOAD
