For other methods of creating Plant Batches, see:
Unpack Plantings from Packages
On the Web Application:
- Navigate to Inventory > Packages > Active
- Filter the Units column for Each, as you can only create plantings on the web from a Package with a count-based quantity of Clones or Seeds
- We also recommend filtering by Item Type of Seeds, Clones, Immature Plants, etc. in the event that you have other Items that are measured in Each
- Check the box next to Package(s) you wish to use
Note: See our article on Continuous Scanning for Package and Plant Inventory to find out how to scan the tags you'd like to take action on - Select Actions > Unpack into Plantings
- Complete the required fields under the New Plant Batch Details:
- Plant Batch Name: The name assigned to the new Plant Batch
- For Metrc facilities: Depending on the state, this may require a Plant Tag for the Plant Batch name, which will automatically pre-fill
- For Non-Metrc facilities: Depending on the state, this may require a Plant Batch tag, which will automatically pre-fill, or allow you to use an alphanumeric name
- If creating multiple alphanumeric Plant Batches at once, you can enter one name you want used for all of the Plant Batches, then at the end of the name add a space "-" and Canix will automatically number the newly created Plant Batches sequentially.
- Looking to make the suffix alphabetical? Navigate to Admin > My Settings to update.
- Location: Location of the new Plant Batches
- Batch Type: Clone or Seed
- Max Plantings Per Batch: Used to create multiple Plant Batches of the same amount at once
- For example, enter Max Plantings Per Batch: 20 to unpack a Package of 100 clones into 5 Plant Batches of 20 Plants each.
- Date: When these Plant Batches were created
- Plant Batch Name: The name assigned to the new Plant Batch
- If the Packages of Clones or Seeds do not already have a Strain associated with them, select No Matching Strain under each Source Package and select a Strain to assign
- Once completed, carefully review all details for accuracy
- Select Submit
