Overview
Note: To use this feature to it’s full potential, ensure that Batches have a Start Date entered.
The Production Inventory tab is a new feature in the Manufacturing module designed to simplify production planning. This tab consolidates all upcoming non-cannabis and source cannabis material needs for planned production batches, reducing the need to switch between multiple tabs, spreadsheets, or manual tracking methods.
With this feature, you can quickly assess inventory levels, understand material availability, and determine if additional materials need to be ordered.
Key Features & Data Insights
1. Estimated Available Quantity
This column helps you track how much material is available for upcoming production based on various factors:
-
Batches/Plans Impact:
-
Current Quantity minus the material quantity allocated to production batches/plans with a scheduled start date before the material's scheduled start date.
-
-
Purchase Orders Impact:
-
Current Quantity plus the material quantity on purchase orders with an estimated delivery date before the material's scheduled start date.
-
-
Sales Orders Impact:
-
Current Quantity minus the material quantity on sales orders with an estimated delivery date before the material's scheduled start date.
-
📌 How It Works: If the Estimated Available Quantity is greater than 0, a calculation breakdown is displayed in the UI for transparency.
2. Quantity to Order
This column provides insight into materials that may need to be reordered for upcoming production.
-
Calculation:
-
Current Quantity minus Required Quantity.
-
If Required Quantity is less than Current Quantity, the value displayed is 0.00 (WEIGHT UNIT).
-
📌 Visual Indicators: Rows are highlighted in red when Quantity to Order > 0, making it easy to spot materials that require restocking.
3. Sortable Data for Easy Management
Both the Estimated Available Quantity and Quantity to Order columns are sortable, allowing you to quickly filter and organize materials based on inventory levels and upcoming demand.
