Plants created in BioTrack Florida are created as individual plants, not groups of plants as a plant batch like in other compliance systems. To create a group of immature plants before they are individually tagged, follow this article for creating plants from a package of immature plants.
Follow the steps below to create new plants from mother plant sources.
- Navigate to Plants > Plants > Active
- Filter the Mother Plant column for Yes to look at mother plants only
- Select 1 mother plant row > Actions > Create Plant from Mother Plant
- Fill out the required details on the left side
Note - these apply to all plants created on the right side in this submission. Repeat these steps to create plants with different information from the same mother plant.- Number of New Plants - enter the number of plants being created from the mother plant in this submission
- Strain - the mother plant strain is prefilled, but another strain in your facility can be selected

- Room - Select from plant location types in your facility
- Lot ID - Optionally, enter a lot ID to group these plants together through an internal ID in reporting

Note - this can only be set when creating initial inventory currently. Additional support to mark these as mother plants ad hoc is planned.
- When all required fields are populated, select Submit
If successfully submitted, the new plants will be given plant tags from BioTrack and appear on the Active plants table. You can find this submission in the Admin > Submissions table to review any submission errors.
