Canix is always looking for ways to save you time, which is why we created Saved Views. This feature gives you an easier way to return to the same filtered and sorted data every time you open a report or table, without rebuilding it from scratch.

What is it?
Depending on the report, you may find yourself building the same view every time you log in. Saved Views lets you save that setup once and reopen it whenever you need it. A Saved View remembers your:
- Column order
- Column filters
- Column sorting
- Column widths
- Which columns are enabled or hidden
How to create a Saved View
- Navigate to a table, for example Inventory Management > Cannabis Inventory.
- In the upper-right, make sure your Active view is selected.
- Adjust your filters, sorting, and columns until the table looks the way you want it.
- Select the save icon (next to the Active drop-down), then choose Save View As...
- Give your view a Name (and an optional Description), then choose from the following options:
- Default facility filter to current active facility — Sets the view's facility filter to whatever facility you're currently active in. When you switch facilities, the filter updates to match, rather than holding the facility selection you had when you saved the view.
- Make this your default view — Loads this view automatically whenever you open the table, so your most relevant data is right there each time.
-
Save view for user vs. Save view for company — Controls who can see the view. Choose Save view for user if it's just for you, or Save view for company to share it with everyone at your company.
- Select Save.
How to update a Saved View
- Navigate to a table, for example Inventory Management > Cannabis Inventory.
- In the upper-right, select the view drop-down.
- Select the view you want to update.
- Adjust your filters, sorting, and columns.
- Select the save icon, then choose Save View.
- A confirmation message appears in the top-right once the view is updated.
How to delete a Saved View
- Navigate to a table, for example Inventory Management > Cannabis Inventory.
- In the upper-right, select your view to open the drop-down.
- Select the view you want to delete.
- Select the save icon, then choose Delete. The view is deleted immediately.
💡 Key things to knowÂ
- Filter changes are temporary until you re-save. Adjusting or clearing filters won't stick on its own. When you switch facilities, navigate away, or refresh the page, the view reloads with its last-saved filters. To make a change permanent, adjust the filters and then select the save icon > Save View to overwrite the view.
- Saved Views span all your facilities. There's no separate "share across facilities" setting, so a filter you save in one facility appears when you switch to another. If you'd rather the facility filter follow your active facility, use the Default facility filter to current active facility option when saving.
- Deleting a view is immediate. There's no confirmation prompt, so make sure you've selected the correct view before choosing Delete.
