Alerts for Failed Submissions
Canix sends alerts for Partially Failed and Fully Failed compliance submissions. You'll be alerted for full or partial failures that your user has submitted or approved within the last 3 days. You'll see failed submissions across any facility type, including Biotrack, Standalone and Metrc.
Selecting the alert will open the "Needs Attention" submissions table. To see failed submissions from before the last three days, simply remove the "Created At" filter on the table.
Looking for all failed submissions for any user? Naviage to Submissions > All to see all submissions and their statuses. Select other facilities in the Facilities column to view across facilities on 1 table.
Dismiss Alerts after Errors are Reviewed
When on the Needs Attention submissions table, you can remove the alerts following these steps:
- Select the Submission Errors alert at the top of your page, or navigate to Admin > Submissions > Needs Attention
- Select each row you want to dismiss an alert for > select Archive Selected button
- Dismissed failed submissions will appear in the Submissions > Archived table
If you don't archive a failed submission, this error will be dismissed automatically after 3 days. Failed submissions can be viewed in the Metrc Submissions > All table after 3 days if they aren't archived when dismissing the alert.
Submission Details
Select an individual submission on any of the submission tables to see the details about that submission, including:
- The date and time the submission was created
- The submitter and approver
- The current status of the submission
- Detailed error messages for failures
Note - if starting with Error from Metrc, there is something wrong in the information submitted that that Metrc will not accept. Use the error message received from Metrc to determine what you need to change when re-submitting the action.
Sometimes mistakes happen! The information you thought you entered or an option you though you selected may have been missed. Retry the action with a close eye on the options and information entered before submitting to ensure you're resolving the error received from Metrc.
The Metrc API now requires posting a maximum of 10 objects at a time. When viewing submission details in Canix you'll now see "Submission Steps" which show which 10 objects where submitted together. If a single tag or object fails in a step, all of the tags/objects in that step will fail, for example:
In this example submission for finishing 18 packages, the second set of packages has not been submitted. Even though the errors are specific to tags, #397, #398, #399, #400, #401 and #402, the entire step will fail, including tags #321, #322.
Resolving Failed Submissions
To resolve failed submissions start by reading the detailed error messages in the submissions side-panel. The details will show specifically why a submission failed. Based on this information you can determine how best to proceed.
