Canix integrates with various accounting softwares to provide customers multiple options for the accounting solution that is right for them. For 4 years, we have supported Quickbooks Desktop, providing you the ability to continue your existing operations with less double data entry.
As of February 12, 2024, we received word that Quickbooks Desktop would be changing its offerings and product support. This affects multiple Quickbooks Desktop versions, including a version you may potentially be using today. Because of these changes, Quickbooks Desktop recommends migrating to Quickbooks Online with their migration tool, and to be better supported with newer product features than in their Quickbooks Desktop version.
On top of this announcement, we have also received word from their main integration connector, RightNetworks Autofy, that they will be shutting down their Autofy product for connecting to Quickbooks Desktop on July 1, 2024. RightNetworks Autofy is the connector between Canix and Quickbooks Desktop.
Due to these changes to both Quickbooks’ support of their Desktop versions, and RightNetworks’ shut down of Quickbooks Desktop support, Canix’s integration with Quickbooks Desktop will be shut down on July 1, 2024. Any issues with the existing integration are no longer supported by Autofy, and therefore cannot be resolved prior to the July 1, 2024 shut down date. Our team has investigated other integration options for Quickbooks Desktop, and unfortunately they do not support the level of features and functionality we have today.
We understand this information is unexpected and has an opportunity for causing disruption in your workflows. We also recognize the degrading support our Quickbooks Desktop customers have already been experiencing with the RightNetworks Autofy connector, and the frustration that is causing today. - Quickbooks Desktop supports CSV uploads of data. Canix is looking to understand which exports your team will need to continue your operations through CSV uploads, and can assist in building these to streamline this process.
- Quickbooks highly recommends migrating to Quickbooks Online, where they have more features and better support. Their migration option to Quickbooks Online has been improved, and more information can be found here.
- Canix supports integrations with Sage Intacct’s product for enterprise-level accounting services, similar to what users are familiar with Quickbooks Desktop.
