Overview: Audits → Activity History
Objective: Give users a single place to see, search, and filter everything that's changed across core Canix objects — Plant Batches, Plants, Harvests, Packages, Non-Cannabis Product Lots, and Sales Orders — without opening each object individually.
Benefit: Instead of clicking into each object's individual history one at a time, you can review, audit, and investigate changes across your whole facility from one feed. This saves time during audits, compliance reviews, and troubleshooting, and makes it easy to see who made a change and when.
Business Logic: Per-object activity history already exists for objects like Packages and Sales Orders, but seeing activity across the platform meant checking each object type on its own. Activity History consolidates this existing data into one timestamp-ordered feed so you don't have to reconstruct a timeline by hand.
Glossary
- Category — The kind of record an activity entry belongs to (Plant Batch, Plant, Harvest, Package, Non-Cannabis Product Lot, Sales Order).
- Actions & Events — The filter for the specific action performed, organized under category headers (e.g., Package, Non-Cannabis Product) so you can find the exact event within each area.
Prerequisites
- Access to the Activity History page is granted via View access to Reporting > Traceability — if you don't see Audits > Activity History in the left navigation bar, please check with your account admin to confirm you have that permission.
Step-by-Step Instructions
Navigate to Audits > Activity History in the left hand navigation bar. From there, you can:
- View the feed. By default you'll see activity across all in-scope object types, ordered by timestamp. First-time users start on All Categories; after that, the page defaults to your last search.
- Search. Enter a keyword to filter the feed.

Filter. Narrow the feed using any combination of:
- Category — one or more object types
- User — the person who performed the action
- Date Range — a custom range, or a shortcut for Last 7 / 30 / 90 Days
- Actions & Events — the specific action type
- Sort. Toggle between newest-first and oldest-first.
- Expand an entry. Select any entry to see full detail, including every field changed in that submission with its before → after values.
- Follow a user. Select the linked user's name to jump to view all actions they made.

Download the feed. Select the download icon in the top-right corner of the page to export the current view as a CSV for offline audits, compliance reporting, or deeper analysis.
Important Considerations
The consolidated Activity History Log does not include all changes made to some Admin settings, for example, changes made in User Management or some Facility Settings such as Metrc API key updates. If there are any actions you are missing please feel free to reach out and share feedback with our team!
System Impacts
- Activity History surfaces existing data
- Existing per-object activity history (on Packages, Sales Orders, etc.) are unaffected and remain available independently.
Troubleshooting
- I don't see Audits > Activity History in my navigation bar. Please reach out to your account Admin and ask them to verify your permissions.
