Distru to Canix Data Migration for Standalone/Hemp Customers

Overview

Migrating from Distru to Canix is designed to be as seamless as possible. The timeline for migrating your standalone/hemp account depends on the types and amount of data you are importing. Canix provides a white-glove service to guide you through the entire migration process.

Typical Migration Timeline

    The following data sets can typically be uploaded into Canix within 1 business day:

  2. Up to 1 Week (Depending on Bills of Materials):

    If your business has a large number of Bills of Materials (BOMs), our team can handle these uploads within 1 week. The exact turnaround time may vary depending on the complexity and volume of BOMs.

White-Glove Assistance

Our goal is to ensure your migration is smooth and worry-free. The Canix team will:

  • Provide a dedicated specialist to manage the migration process.
  • Guide you step-by-step to ensure all data is accurate and complete before the final import.
  • Offer hands-on support to help set up and validate your items, packages, locations, and more.
  • Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the migration.

What You Can Do to Prepare

  • Gather Your Data: Make sure you have your items, locations, strains, plants, packages, and non-cannabis products organized and ready for import.
  • Specific Pages to Download from Distru
    • Products - This will give you a list of all Cannabis and Non-Cannabis Products to add into Canix. You can use this to fill out the Cannabis Items and Non-Cannabis Items pages on Canix
    • Batches - Distru's Batch page will populate Non-Cannabis Lots and Cannabis Packages in Canix
    • Bills of Materials -  Download Distru's Bill of Materials, and send to the Canix team. We have several shortcuts and more organization available in BOM management that we can help you set up in Canix
      • You can send your raw Bill of Material download directly to the Canix team

How Does Data Map from Distru to Canix? 

To get a sense of how your data will change when migrated from Distru to Canix, you can take a look below. 

  • Distru: Assemblies <> Canix: Production Runs 
    • Assemblies in Distru are the equivalent of "Runs" in Canix
  • Distru: Batches <> Canix: Production Batches 
    • Batches in Distru are the same as "Batches" in Canix. However, unlike Distru, Canix will not append an auto-generated field to the Batch name, thus making batches much easier to sort and Search 
  • Distru: Internal Lot ID <> Canix: Item SKU & Non-Cannabis Items 
    • Internal Lot ID in Distru is the same as "SKU" in Canix for Items and "SKU" for Non-Cannabis Items
  • Distru: Products <> Canix Items & Canix Non-Cannabis Inventory 
    • Distru Products will map to Canix Items and Non-Cannabis Inventory  
  • Distru: Locations <> Canix Locations 
    • Locations will be the same in both platforms.
