Non-cannabis inventory (NCI) can be applied to packages in a few ways:
- Automatically applied to packages using Bills of Materials (BOMs)
- Added to manufacturing runs as Inputs to apply to Outputs created in the run
- Applied ad hoc to packages from the packages table
In this article, we'll cover how to apply NCI to packages ad hoc from the packages table.
- Navigate to Inventory > Packages > Active view
- Select 1+ rows or filter for packages to apply non-cannabis inventory to in bulk
Note - all packages must have the same quantity type (all weight based, all count based or all volume based) - Select Actions > Assign Non-Cannabis Inventory
- Select the Products, or Bill of Materials to be applied to the Packages:
- Suggested Bill of Materials:
- If the Items associated to the selected Packages are on Bills of Material, the Bill of Material will be shown in this category.
- When adding a Suggested Bill of Material the quantities will be pre-filled based on the logic of the Bill of Material. For example if the Packages selected have 100 units, and the Bill of Material requires one Vape Cart per Unit, 100 will be pre-filled as the quantity for Vape Carts.
- Other Bill of Materials:
- Any Bill of Material can be selected in this flow, regardless of the Items on the Packages selected.
- When adding a Bill of Material from this section, the quantities will be pre-filled based on the quantities on the Bill of Material, without considering the units on the Packages.
- NCI Products:
- When selecting an NCI Product one row will be added without any quantity pre-filled.
- To apply quantities from multiple lots, select the NCI Product once for each Lot.
- Suggested Bill of Materials:
- Enter the total quantity to apply to all packages
Note - this quantity will apply to the packages proportionally based on the current package quantity - Select the date to apply the inventory
- Select + Add Product to select additional lots to apply to the package inventory
- Select Submit to deduct NCI quantities and apply the quantities and cost proportionally to the packages
NCI applied to packages can be found on the package details page (select a package tag > View details button on the side panel), as well as in the NCI usage report.
