Creating Multiple Packages (Mobile - Non-Metrc)

After plants are harvested and dried, the inventory of products produced by the harvest (flower, trim, etc) is often placed into larger packages for inventory. Canix allows you to split packages by creating and tracking smaller packages from the larger inventory.

Pro-tips:

  • Tracking unit weight when moving from the larger inventory to the smaller packages is key.   Canix tracks the total weight of the smaller packages.  This must be less than or equal to the total weight of the larger (parent) package

Steps: From the Mobile Application

  1. Select Packages > Quick Actions > Create Multiple Packages
  2. Create Package from either
  3. Non-Canix Item (Untracked goods or materials)
  4. Harvest (Split a single dried harvest)
  5. Package (Split a single package)  This is what we’re going to focus on for this article

Select Package (Split a single package)

  1. Enter or scan the Existing Package Tag (or last 4+ digits)
  2. A summary of Item, Item Type, Weight, and Packaged Date is displayed
  3. New Packages - enter New StartingPackage Tag
  4. Enter Number of Packages being created
  5. Enter Item Type (will auto-populate from Item Type of larger package)
  6. Enter Package Weight
  7. Select unit of measurement - Canix suggests keeping this the same as the larger (parent) package
  8. Enter Packaging Date
  9. Select Review Packages
  10. Either Select Create Packages in Canix  or
  11.  Select the White + in the Red circle to create additional packages from the same larger package.
  12. Select Create Packages in Canix when finished
