A Marketplace Only Account is a streamlined version of Canix designed for businesses that primarily operate through the Canix Marketplace. Rather than providing access to the full Canix platform, Marketplace Only Accounts include everything you need to manage sales, inventory availability, and fulfillment — without the features designed for cultivation and production operations.
What's Included
Sales Orders
Manage your full sales order workflow, including:
- Package Fulfillment — Fulfill orders directly from available inventory
- Invoices — Generate and manage invoices tied to sales orders
- Sales Order Change Log — Track all changes made to a sales order over time for full auditability
Transfers
Create and manage transfers associated with your sales orders and fulfilled packages.
Inventory & Product Availability
- Inventory Availability — View real-time availability of inventory across your facility
- Product Availability — See which products are available for sale and listing on the Marketplace
Facility Data
Access the foundational data needed to support sales operations:
- Locations
- Strains
- Items
- Products
- Sales Price Lists
- Custom Package Statuses
Packages Table
View and manage packages with the following available actions:
- Split packages
- Combine packages
- Update availability status
Note: Other package actions available in full Canix accounts are not accessible in Marketplace Only Accounts.
Marketplace
Full access to your Marketplace profile and all Marketplace functionality, including browsing, listing, and transacting.
Reporting
- Sales Reporting — Track and analyze your sales performance
- AR Reporting — Monitor accounts receivable
Financials & Payments
- Payment Processing — Accept and manage payments
- Brand Capabilities — Manage your brand presence on the Marketplace
Customer Management
Maintain your customer database and manage relationships with buyers.

What's Not Included
Marketplace Only Accounts do not include access to features designed for cultivation and production operations. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Tags & Labels
- Production / Manufacturing
- Plants & Cultivation
- Full Packages Table actions (beyond split, combine, and availability status updates)

Getting Started
If you've been set up with a Marketplace Only Account, here's what we recommend doing first:
- Complete your Marketplace profile — Make sure your profile is filled out so buyers can find and trust your listings
- Set up your Facility Data — Add your locations, items, products, and price lists
- Connect your integrations — Link Metrc, BioTrack, QuickBooks, or Sage if applicable
- Invite your team — Use User Management to add colleagues who need access
- Review your inventory availability — Ensure your available packages are accurately reflected before going live on the Marketplace
