If your RFID wand is connected to Canix, and is beeping when the Canix app migrates to a screen with a barcode field on it but doesn't scan tags, it's likely that the RFID trigger is "stuck."
-
Squeeze the yellow trigger repeatedly. A functioning trigger will click and beep as you squeeze.
-
If this does not work, move the yellow trigger from side to side as you press in. It's possible that the trigger plate is misaligned. If you feel resistance, canned air may help clear the blockage.
-
Navigate back to the Canix Mobile App home screen on your mobile device.
-
Navigate to Identify Plant or Identify Package. The RFID wand will beep and should begin scanning tags when you squeeze the trigger.
If that doesn't work, go through these steps:
-
Install the Zebra 123RFID app via the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.
-
Go into Settings > Readers on the Zebra RFID app.
-
Press the Bluetooth Button on your RFID wand. Connect the RFID wand by tapping it when it appears in your Readers list. If you only hear upward timbre beeps, the wand was not connected to the Canix Mobile App. You should hear downward timbre beeps followed by upward timbre beeps to indicate it has disconnected from Canix and connected to 123RFID.
-
Go to Rapid Read in the Zebra RFID app and begin scanning.
-
If successful and you see the app reading tags, close the Zebra RFID app.
-
Open up the Canix Mobile App. You should hear the downward timbre beeps followed by the upward timbre beeps.
-
Test the connection by opening the Identify Plant or Identify Package. You'll hear two upward timbre beeps which indicate the device is correctly paired and ready to scan.
