Administrator |
Administrators have full access to all features in Canix including Billing Details, Facility and User Management, and for our Metrc customers, the ability to submit data. Note: If the user is an Administrator and has "Requires Review on Submissions" assigned to their account, that user will not be able to submit to Metrc but will still have access to all other features in Canix. |

Users with this function selected will receive email updates about your account, including audit logs about updates such as plant destruction, package creation, etc. We suggest that all Administrators select this function to ensure that you don't miss important messages about your account. |
Receive Sales Order Emails |
Users with this function selected will receive emails when Sales Orders are created. This function does not determine whether or not a user has access to the Sales Order feature. |
Sales & Financial Reporting Access | Users with this function selected have access to Sales & Financial Reporting features. Individuals with this permission can see tools including Inventory Lookback, Strain Summaries, Brand Reports, and Harvest Profitability. |
Requires Review on Submissions |
For Metrc Customers only Users with this permission will be required to have their Metrc submissions reviewed by an Administrator before the data is sent to Metrc. |
Manage Group Permissions
When managing larger teams, it can be cumbersome to assign permissions individually. Canix helps expedite this process by providing the functionality to assign permissions on a broader scale, by creating User Permission Groups.
To create a User Permission Group:
- Navigate to Admin > User Permissions
- In the upper right, click Create New Group
- Assign the group a name using the text box in the upper left
- Then select the features you would like this group to access
You can get specific with features such as Inventory and Sales, limiting access to subcategories of those specific tables - Save your group using the button in the upper right
Assign Group Permissions
Now that you've created User Permission Groups, you can bulk assign individuals to the appropriate group.
- Navigate to Admin > User Management
- Select the individuals you want to assign to a specific group
If you are assigning all users in a range, make your first selection, hold down the shift key, then select the last user in the grouping - Once you've selected the individuals, click Actions > Assign Permission Groups (upper right)
- A pop-up will appear, click the text box Select User Group
- Select the permission group you want to assign
- Click Assign
Manage Individual Permissions
Canix allows system administrators to maintain compliance and ensure that each user only has access to the tools that are most relevant to their role.
To update an individual's permission:
- Navigate to Admin > User Management
- Click on an individual's name
This will open the user's profile - Select the dropdown arrow next to Roles & Permissions to open the options
- Select those you would like to assign to the individual
- Select a Group, under 'User Permission Group' at the bottom of the user profile
- Click Update
