Set User Permissions for your Sales Roles
Sales Rep Permissions
Use the Sales and Packages permissions. It's recommended to give No Access to all other areas of Canix to reduce the risk of editing compliance data they shouldn't have access to.
Sales Permission Recommendations
- Reduce the chance that reps edit the wrong order by giving No Access to Sales Orders (All). This will restrict reps to orders they've created only.
- Restrict reps from editing orders after they're approved. Give View access to all statuses in the permissions.
- Give access to manage customers, or assign customers to certain sales reps for them to view only by using the Customers dropdown in permissions.
- Restrict access to No Access for managing transfers, purchase orders, creating Canix sales orders from LeafLink, and locking sales orders by matching the image below.
Inventory Permission Recommendations
- Give View Access to Inventory > Packages, and No Access to all rows in the Packages permission section
- Give Edit or View Access to Inventory > Availability to view Available to Sell quantities per item.
- Give View Access to Non-Cannabis Inventory section if selling non-cannabis inventory, such as batteries, t-shirts, packaging material, etc.
-
Match the image below to restrict access to non-sales areas of Inventory management.
Sales Manager Permissions
Use the Sales and Packages permissions. It's recommended to give No Access to all other areas of Canix to reduce the risk of editing compliance data they shouldn't have access to.
Sales Permission Recommendations
Match the image above for the Sales permissions section

- Give Edit Access to LeafLink Orders if using Canix's LeafLink integration
Note - if using LeafLink, give Edit Access to Integrations > LeafLink so the user can enable their API access to LeafLink. - Give No Access to all other Sales rows unless also managing transfers or should lock/unlock sales orders from being edited.
Inventory Permission Recommendations
Match the image above for the Inventory permissions section
- Give Edit Access to Availability to view inventory available to sell
- Give Edit Access to Manage LeafLink Listings if using Canix's LeafLink integration to update quantities on product listings in LeafLink from Available to Sell packages in Canix.
